The guest speaker for this meeting is Dr Andre Bendyk, (Periodontist). His presentation will be on: "The updated world periodontal disease classification - What's the new lingo and what does it mean?
In June the European Federation of Periodontology in conjunction with the American Academy of Periodontology released a new classification of periodontal diseases, the first change in 19 years. The new nomenclature is designed to reflect the way that the scientific understanding of periodontal and peri-implant diseases has evolved, and it is expected that over the next few years this terminology will become accepted globally. Terms such as "Chronic" and "Aggressive" have been replaced. This short talk will explain the new "lingo" and the rationale behind its use.
This presentation will offer approximately 30 minutes of CPD and will commence at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting.

AGM business will include:
- Presidents Report
- Treasurers Report
- Appointment of auditors
- Induction of President, Officers and Councillors
- Certificates of recognition presentation

Also present on the night will be Professors Grant Townsend and Tasman Brown, authors of The Adelaide Dental School 1917 - 2017. Copies of the book will be available to purchase on the night at a cost of $55 (by credit card only).
